Sexual health education via digital media as a strategy to prevent technology-facilitated sexual violence in adolescents: A scoping review
This scoping review aims to map and synthesize the existing literature on sexual health education delivered via digital media as a strategy to prevent technology-facilitated sexual violence (TFSV) among adolescents. Specifically, the review will examine which social media platforms and digital strategies are being used, the characteristics of adolescent populations reached, the types of sexual health content delivered, and the reported outcomes related to knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, and safety. In addition, the review will identify key facilitators and barriers to implementation, including ethical, cultural, and technological considerations, to highlight gaps and opportunities in current approaches. Findings from this review are intended to inform future research, policy development, and the design of effective, adolescent-centered digital interventions.
