All research projects funded by or receiving subsidized research services from the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute must acknowledge the support of WCHRI and the proper Foundation.

Why is this important?

  • To fulfill requirements indicated in your Offer of Award and within WCHRI’s Memorandum of Understanding agreement with Alberta Health Services, Alberta Women’s Health Foundation, Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and the University of Alberta.
  • Recognizes and thanks the Foundations’ support for funding your research efforts.
  • Instills trust in your work—increasing likelihood of future support.

As a member of WCHRI, it is expected that you list WCHRI as one of your affiliations in publication and/or presentation.

Here are some examples, which are intended to show different potential combinations of affiliations:

  • Women and Children’s Health Research Institute; Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Alberta
  • Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation, University of Alberta; Women and Children’s Health Research Institute, University of Alberta
  • Women and Children’s Health Research Institute and the Cardiovascular Research Centre, University of Alberta; Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Alberta
