Improving outcomes of PARP inhibition in BRCA1/2-Proficient breast cancer with targeting UBE4B
Breast cancer is a prevalent type of cancer and a leading cause of cancer-related deaths in North America. Despite the availability of various treatments, the prognosis for breast cancer has remained stagnant in recent years. The molecular mechanisms driving breast cancer development are not yet fully understood. Dr. Leng and his research team will focus on investigating the impact of various molecules on tumor growth. In particular, they are interested in exploring the role of four molecules - UBE4B, BRCA1, BRCA2, and RAD51 - in regulating the growth of breast tumors. This study aims to evaluate the role of UBE4B in regulating BRCA1, BRCA2, and RAD51 in breast cancer, which will have significant implications for breast cancer therapy.
