1) People appear to be more reluctant to attempt life-saving maneuvers on women. We intend to understand why. 2) Current teaching for chest compressions is male focused. There may be alternative strategies for female rescuers to help achieve effective chest compressions. 3) We are working with cardiac arrest survivors, their families and the families of on-survivors to create and validate quality indicators for adult cardiac arrest care. We are using interviews, focus groups and consensus methods.
