ChIRP is a pilot intervention that aims to address the drop in coverage for 18-month childhood vaccines due to missed immunization appointments. The intervention involves sending a series of reminders to parents of children due for their 18-month immunization in two community health centres in Alberta: Mill Woods Public Health Centre in Edmonton Zone and Lethbridge Community Health Centre in South Zone. The reminders include a reminder about the appointment and a link to online information in different languages about the scheduled vaccine(s).
2. Flu vaccine in women and men:
We hypothesize that, for most years, females will have greater immunogenicity and higher
vaccine efficacy following influenza vaccination compared with males, accompanied by a greater proportion reporting AEFIs, mainly in systemic reactions.
The aim of this study is to determine whether and how the immune response, efficacy,
effectiveness, and reported AEFIs to seasonal influenza vaccine are different in females than in males.
