Project: Sexual health education via digital media as a strategy to prevent technology-facilitated sexual violence in adolescents: a scoping review

“The best advice my supervisor gave me this summer was that you aren’t supposed to be an expert yet; you're here to learn... It is completely OK to ask questions and make mistakes along the way.”

Summary: This scoping review aims to map and synthesize the existing literature on sexual health education delivered via digital media as a strategy to prevent technology-facilitated sexual violence among adolescents. Specifically, we will examine which social media platforms and digital strategies are being used, who they reach, what content they deliver, and the reported outcomes related to knowledge, attitudes, behaviours and safety.

In addition, the review will identify key facilitators and barriers to implementation, including ethical, cultural and technological considerations, to highlight gaps and opportunities. Findings from this review are intended to inform future research, policy development and the design of effective, adolescent-centred digital interventions.
