Padma Kaul


I am a Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Adjunct Professor, School of Public Health, Edmonton, Canada, and an Adjunct Professor, Department of Population Health Sciences, Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, NC, USA. I am the CIHR Chair, Sex and Gender Differences, and the Heart & Stroke Chair in Cardiovascular Research. I am an epidemiologist and policy analyst by training. My research interests include examining issues related to access and delivery of care for women with cardiovascular disease. I also am the PI of a CIHR grant examining pregnancy complications and long-term risk of cardiovascular disease using population-level data, the Co-PI of a Canadian Innovation Foundation grant for the Canadian Mother-Child Cohort Active Surveillance Initiative.
