Summary:
My research interests are in the areas of pelvic floor health, medical education, surgical innovation, and transgender health. Currently I am working on a few research projects. One of my projects is on preoperative education for patients undergoing pelvic organ prolapse. This is a multiphase project, and the aim of the first phase is to understand the gaps in education for patients who undergo surgery for pelvic organ prolapse. We hope to use this information in the second phase to develop educational material for patients, and the third phase would be implementation. I am also working on a project in conjunction with one of my colleagues on developing personalized pessaries. And finally, I am starting another study looking at the effect of bottom surgery on urinary symptoms in transfeminine patients.
