Summary:

Areas of interest include the study of nutrient metabolism, body composition and dietary intake in chronic liver and gastrointestinal diseases in infants and children. Current studies focus on the dietary and metabolic characteristics influencing liver disease pathogenesis (e.g non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, liver cirrhosis before and after liver transplant) and the development of co-morbid conditions (malnutrition, sarcopenia, cardiometabolic dysregulation ). Research focused on treatment interventions (diet, nutrition support, exercise) that impact infant and child outcomes (growth, hospitalization) and evidenced based dietetic practice are examined.
